Here's a new book, hot off the
presses, as the say, and guess who has an essay included in it? The book is
called Confessions
of the Other Mother: Nonbiological Lesbian Moms Tell All!
Edited by Harlyn Aizley, author of Buying Dad: One Woman’s Search for the
Perfect Sperm Donor, this book gathers the stories of eighteen
nonbiological moms who have created the"other mother" role with a
personal flair.
I got a contributor's copy a few
weeks ago. The official publication date is Mother's Day, but you should
be able to find a copy for your sweetie now. On amazon.com today it still
gives the pre-order option, but Beacon Press assures me that copies are
available in bookstores already.

Congrats! This looks like a fascinating book.

My sweetie would probably look at me like I was high if I got him this book, but I plan on reading it myself. Congratulations!

Congratulations!
I started reading your blog about a month ago, starting from the beginning, trying to find time to catch up. As a wannabe lesbian mama, I'm fascinated all of it.
Way to go on the essay in the book! I'll check it out for sure.

How perfect!! I have been lamenting the lack of such a book as Pronoia and I have been discussing the Baby Plan. Thanks!

Awesome! I just pre-ordered it and can't wait to read it. This is a subject there isn't enough written about.

Congratulations on being published! The first (and only) time my name was in print I was giddy for three days afterward. (and my name was just in the acknowledgements, so it really wasn't a big deal)
