You know how some pop songs get stuck in your head and they won't go away? Okay,
I'm dating myself
here, but I was very amused by this quiz on 80s song lyrics. Please take the quiz and report your score in the comment section below. Be honest! Prizes TBD!

Ok, I think I need to stop living in the 80's! 144.5

Ugh...a measly 54.5
And I thought I knew my '80s music...I guess i was just a youngster.
Is there a prize for the worst? :)

Damn, I thought I was doing good with 95.5.

115, not too bad.

Let me preface this by saying that my father did not allow me to start listening to pop music until I was 13... which was in 1990. My score was:
50.5
I know, I suck.

97.5. My god, how is 115 possible? I am the queen of song lyrics.
Or, I used to be. (shuffling off downcast)

88.5. "Pop Junkie"
It feel pretty decent about that, actually, since I didn't start high school until the 1990. That was fun! :-)

87. But I misspelled "chrysler" and thus missed it, so it should have been higher!
Posted by: shannon | 12 June 2006 at 11:12 PM
54.7. But it would've been higher if I'd lied and said I was born after Woodstock.

Score: 85 = pop junkie
At least I tried!

Oh. my. god. I grew up under a rock.

73.5 - but I got bonus points for not being born until the eighties were half over.
Now these will be floating through my head ALL DAY!!! Thanks!

43.85.
Which my wife would tell you was just what she'd expect. She's in charge of music.

91.5
Fun, fun!

Oh my. I am mildly embarrassed to admit that I scored 126.5.

Hey Robin! What was your score?
Posted by: Kimberley | 13 June 2006 at 03:13 PM
Ouch! That hurt my brain. I got too many points off for bad spelling; I was a 47.5 but should have been in the 80's. Really! Really!
FYI, if you are big fan of more obscure 80's music, try this: http://pwemb.blogspot.com/. He posts some great stuff.

41.05. Not nearly as easy as I thought it would be. Thanks !
Posted by: melandmilo | 13 June 2006 at 04:55 PM
99.5. Disappointing, thought I'd do better!
Posted by: seasonalkat | 14 June 2006 at 02:28 PM
57.5 ugggh...pretty pitiful. i think it's cuz i spent ALL of the eighties in college/grad school and somehow got stuck listening to Kate Bush over and over and over again. oh well.

90.5 -- I started out thinking it was really easy, then I got to #11. Thain and I had to help each other, and then we found out spelling counted. Boo to spelling!
Posted by: Jack | 16 June 2006 at 07:19 PM
Final Score: 126.5
really.
