"They chewed on horrible shoes!"

Here we have "Puppies to the Rescue 1," Pearl's first fiction video.  It runs 42 seconds long.  She says she is a  little disappointed with the results.  She'd hoped it would be as good as Lion King or at least Sesame Street!

For Kahlo, our 8 month old, this is better than Sesame Street, The Lion King, and even Baby Einstein. No matter what time of day, if she is crying, I can bring her over to the computer and replay this video and she stops instantly to watch it. Bravo, Pearl!

fabulous! first the letter to her long lost friend in london and now a film. what a creative little girl you have there! she's just amazing! i can't wait to see puppies to the rescue 2!!

very cute - thanks for sharing!

chewing on horrible shoes is very scary. What was this film rated, by the way?

i love this!! i love her story telling style.

Should be nominated, if not win, an Oscar for best short!! Two thumbs up!

This is the best 42 seconds ever, even with the horrible shoes.

well, I'm a lurker, but I had to come out of hiding for that.

WOW, Pearl. WOW. I can't wait for the next installment, and I'm really wondering about how that Panda Bear ended up in Africa. There's not much in the way of bamboo in the sahara, unless Miss Pearl knows something I don't know.

I especially liked the puppies falling one by one into the bowl(hole) as the event was being narrated. It was somehow very...postmodern.

And the horrible shoes.

Wow.

Brava, Pearl!!!! SO much fun.

This is the BEST film I have seen in a LONG time! And believe me when I say that I have seen a lot of films!

When can we expect part two?

Hahaha! I love it - how creative! I'm anxiously awaiting Part 2...

This was very cute -- and REALLY exciting! Pearl has a great imagination, and a perfect announcer's voice (move over, Charlie O'Donnell).

I miss our children's "stories" -- the many puppet shows, plays and dioramas with narration. I hope Pearl and Carrie will continue to share their work.

Actually "They saw something black and whiiiite. It was a Panda Beaaaaar" sounded a lot like Sesame Street. And thank goodness for the verrrry sharp teeth. Because you gotta watch out for those horrible shoes : ) Fabu Pearl!

You must tell Pearl that my daughters made me play this about 10 times in a row!

Mayla says, "I like the dogs. Do they go back to their houses after it's over?"

Great debut on the video scene, Pearl!

I love it! Tell Pearl I thought it was a great first showing, and that the more she films the better she'll be at figuring out what shots she wants. The best 'toy' my parents ever gave us was an old vhs video camera. This is back in the day when the camera's were huge. I was around 15 years old, my brother were 13 and 11. For the next 4-5 years, we spent every weekend making films. We'd get the whole neighborhood involved. I can remember making a puppet show that taught basic phonics. My brothers made this great star-trek satire. In college my girlfriend and I would watch her nieces. I let them use my camera and we never heard 'I'm bored' from them again. There is something about the video camera that sparks creativity. Who knows, it could turn into a future career as well. My brother is now does special effects and editing for movies.

I love her "dramatic voice"! :-)
