Mother's Day: What Do You Really Want?

2258193217_a49052ae2c That's the question of the day.  For Mother's Day, what do you really want.  Realism is optional.  But be honest.

a balloon and Ben & Jerry's.
hey, that's exactly what we got.
perfect.

I want a house! And a cute little orange or gold or electric-blue car (and while we're in the realm of fantasy, let's make it an electric car). And a happy day with my girls. And a nap on the couch, maybe with MG reading me to sleep from one of those interminable Rainbow Fairies books.

We want our little man to come and meet us and the rest of the world.
He prob wont so we will settle on a nice long nap together!

to be a kept woman. :)

Uhm... I dunno if not being a mom yet I can participate... But... Under both realms a little bit... A baby!

Sorry I just spelling your name wrong, Robin!

Fantastic wishes: paid mortgage and an endless supply of patience

Possibly realistic but unlikely wishes: a lovely family photo where no one is being restrained or grimacing

Reality: painted cards and a Mother's Day "program" performed by their classes, which I am actually really, really looking forward to. I love the things they make for me at this age, and I love their pure love and enthusiasm.

Happy Mother's Day, Robyn and Marcia!

The time to read a couple of books I REALLY want to get through.

That's easy, but highly unrealistic:

One solid month of not having to remind any of the children about anything - including chores: homework, laundry, room-cleaning, bathroom-cleaning, showers, teeth brushing, or dog feeding/watering.

I might get two days if I'm lucky.

i didn't even have to think about this:

24 hours of blissful un-interrupted sleep. (fantasy)
8 hours of blissful un-interrupted sleep. (trying to be realistic)

Quiet.

I never have many wishes or wants. But I really want a nice photo sitting for the whole family.

Fantasy: Sufjan Stevens. On a platter.

Reality: I just bought myself an Ipod.

Fantasies: Another baby!
To go back in time and watch the boys grow up again
A bigger, renovated, paid for home

Exactly what I will have ...a cup of tea in bed made by my big boy, with my lovely partner and baby alongside. All healthy and happy...

Another baby! (That's in the realm of fantasy.)
