Top Parenting Blogs Ranked at ParentPower

Here's something new: the ParentPower Index. Forget about the Fortune 500.  This little gizmo ranks the top  200 parent blogs in cyberspace based on several different measures, such as number of subscribers, technorati rank, etc.  Right now The Other Mother is at #40.

It's moved from 40 to 34, so whatever you're doing, it must be working!

Number 40?????? That's totally cool, but I think you should be higher than that!!! I took a quick peek at a few of the higher ranked blogs and I just see the same old griping about having kids and cute kid pics.

I live in a somewhat remote area of the country with two daughters I adore. I put up with a lot of backwater thinking here and it could possibly drive me insane, so I looked around for a couple blogs I could enjoy to remind myself that there are some cool and interested families out there. I was SO GLAD to find yours and this is why:

1) You seem to really enjoy and relish the activities of your kids. And they seem like pretty interesting little people!

2) Your daughters are sometimes featured wearing colors other than pink or purple, which are both beautiful colors, but I like girls that have access to more than just the old tired and true two.

3) You include their artwork. I am such an education nerd. I love looking at kids' artwork.

4) You include what they're reading and what you're reading.

Anyway, not to overdue the praises, but I really appreciate your blog and just wanted to say that you've made a mama living in the sticks feel a bit more connected to the cool side of family life.

Congrats!

you're a good kitty, and i'm proud of all your accomplishments.
