When a baby arrives, everything has to shift. Jake the dog and Moriah the cat must be thinking, we were here first. Which is true. However we are now finding new ways to work things out. Everyone wants to be involved, naturally. Pearl is cast as the leading lady, and Marcia gets best supporting. The roles shift, but everyone has a part in the play.
Robin,
I just had a minute to sit down and read through you days thus far....The ups and the downs are pretty amazing. Time flies by so fast and then all of the sudden Maya is 23lbs and trying to learn to crawl. I gotta tell you....driving in the car never worked for Maya either (who really made that up)? I wish you the best of luck in the restructuring of your relationship with your pets it is a hard dance for everyone to fall into step with. It will work out and soon the pecking order will be in place and everyone women (even the littlest one, and beast will feel the right amount of love.
Maya has been sick and very trying for the last few days. She is prone to ear infections and they are painful so Sharon and I have had very little sleep. We take comfort in the knowledge that there is light at the end of the tunnel (thank heaven for antibiotics)! We are thinking of all of you and would love to see more photos. How in the world did you get Pearl to actually take a pacifier? We never could figure that one out?????
Take Care of yourselves,
XX OO Jessica
