Bye bye to the Robeez. Gram bought Pearl her first pair of leather shoes yesterday.
Pearl is twirling and swirling around the house (punctuated by loud THUMPS as she lands on the ground) in her new brown boots. No worries, mate. She climbs back up again.
Shoes represent a big change, but she's adjusting. Even the angels want to wear these beauties.
I took a picture of my kid's first shoes next to mine so they can see the size difference when they grow up. Of course I kept them too! ;)

we actually took a "before" picture of Harris' first pair of shoes (sandals, actually)...the night before he started wearing them. i think it's on my blog! those little size 5 shoes seem so small now. but actually, 20 months later (omigod...he's been walking now for THAT long?)...he's still only wearing a size 7...so there ya go!
wishing Pearl many many miles to go!

Oh yes, the shoes and Pearl are adorable. Truly adorable.
But in viewing the picture, I couldn't help but notice that whoever is standing in the image with her has their jeans unzipped. Do tell... am I not the only one with clothes that feel a bit tight after the holidays?

ok..i noticed the unzipped fly too. and i had considered emailing you to tell you this...but then i figured..."good god Robyn, no need to scrutinize the picture with a fine tooth comb." so, i didn't. LOL!!!

Suzanne, Robyn, et. al.
My aunt Evelyn (R.I.P.) used to say that the world has two kinds of people in it--crotch-watchers and non-crotch-watchers. Enough said?

Love the shoes :)... LOVE the outfit too... those colors... Lilliana is a pink baby... where did you get that outfit??? So cute!

I got them on ebay, to tell you the truth. They're either gymboree or hanna andersson clothes. Too expensive to buy them brand new, since they only fit for a couple of months. Ebay is the equivalent of hand-me-downs for the 21st century, I guess.
