Our Carrie is four months old now. She flashes her wide, wild grin like a tiny salesperson. I love her smile. It makes all my anxieties disappear. She has a deep chuckle that does not match her appearance at all. Her sister Pearl can really get her laughing.
Carrie's at a stage in her physical development where she feels ready to push herself up or roll over, but none of these tricks are manageable quite yet. Her mind is ready, but her body doesn't yet have the strength to master it.
Marcia has taken on some extra part-time work from now until May, the end of the school year. She's teaching 3 half-days a week, on the 3 days that Pearl goes to preschool. A babysitter takes care of Carrie at our house on those days. Marcia seems really happy to be working again, dealing with adults and children other than us.
Does she look as much like Pearl in real life as in the photos?
