Carrie is really changing. Mobility is a drug; this is known only to the very young. She is high on the fact that she can see a flower across the room and then ZOOM over to check it out. She has the power!
Her growing up takes other forms as well. She has decided that the mushy foods that she's been eating are boring. From her high chair, she peruses the dinner table, admiring the superior offerings over there. She is eating fruit, tiny pieces of meat, beans, and hot cereals.
Until now, Carrie's non-interest in books has been a little bit disturbing to me, but she has finally discovered the joy of turning pages. She doesn't appear to have any sense that one might read or listen to a book. But she enjoys turning the pages, one after another. She does it fast, of course. When it comes to content, she does not discriminate. We love this girl so much.
We got new "convertible" carseats for her, and Marcia says it's time for her to transition into a kinderZeat like Pearl's. Should it be lime green or tangerine? That is the question.
