Another truly marvelous thing about Houston is that we have great Vietnamese restaurants. That might surprise you, but Houston has one of the largest Vietnamese communities in the United States.
My favorites restaurants are Van Loc and Kim Son, and they serve up authentic dishes. For a funky twist on Vietnamese cooking, Jenny's Noodle House is always fun.
Those spring rolls look divine! Where are they from?
Kim Son is yummy, but I've never been to Van Loc even though it is super close to where I live. I'll have to check it out sometime...soon!

Hey, we had spring rolls just like for tea the other night!

I need to check out Van Loc too. I don't know if anything could be better than Kim Son's peanut sauce and tofu spring rolls though. Now, I'm hungry. :)

At Van Loc, I really like the Tofu Luc Lac (garlic tofu), the Chinese broccoli (off menu), and the spring rolls. Hmmmmmmmmm.

OMG those goi kun (or however you're supposed to spell them) look absolutely amazing. Hands down my favorite Vietnamese thing to eat. We have some good Vietnamese places in Philly too. I love it!! Great photos btw.
