The girls really dig these green smoothies, assuming they're chocolate. Ingredients usually include: frozen banana, dried medjool dates, soy milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, flax seeds, frozen berries, ice water, and a half a bag of frozen spinach.
We whir it all together with a Vitamix. I'm not sure whether a regular blender could deal with all the frozen fruit.
If you can wrap your mind around the bright grass green color, the smoothie really is yummy.
I wish our son would drink smoothies like that again. He used to drink one every day but he found a seed or some little bit of something and will never eat it again. We have a pretty strong blender and have to blend and blend and blend to get him to eat a fruit smoothie. He will drink the natural juices from whole foods though, the Odwala and those that are super foods though.

If you feel more adventurous, follow this recipe:
10 oz. greens (we like spinach the best)
handful frozen strawberries
handful frozen blueberries
flax seeds
water
Baba always makes the cocoa/soy milk smoothie and I always make this one. The girls drink both!

Oh, brilliant! Nat has started resisting green stuff in meal form, but I bet she'd go for a green smoothy if it had plenty of fruit too. Thanks!
