All About Pearl
Pearl is 4.5 years old, but she's so tall and strong that she's often mistaken for a 6 year old. She likes school and can't wait to learn to read. She already sounds out words and writes whole stories with...

Did she just say McCain was the man we want to leave?

Past is prologue.
brilliant.

Why is it so hard to pronounce noo-klee-er?
Posted by: Jason Luther | 02 October 2008 at 09:52 PM
Something about joe six pack and soccer moms...Geesh!
By the way, I don't want to hear MAVERICK anytime soon!

She did, ppb. She did!

I'm with you Jason, New-Cue-Lar? Over and over! And like Kelly suggested, how many times do we have to hear the word Maverick?
Some synonyms I found from Merriam-Webster:
non-conformist, bohemian, deviant, individualist, loner
With non-conformist they also listed related words as:
character, codger, crackbrain, crackpot, crank, eccentric, freak, kook, nut, oddball, screwball, weirdo; misfit, outsider; anomaly
I wonder if any of these would be accurate...

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against non-conformists, just poor variety in word choice. I would certainly be proud to be considered almost any of those terms!

"Wull don' ya know der Joe, Gee Golly"

"They hate America because of our freedoms and our women's rights" (unspoken: all of which I oppose!)

I think all those winks were an effort to her her bangs unstuck from her eyelashes. It was so distracting. I wanted to brush them away myself.

I can't get over "nucular"... she sounds just like Bush.

I found the way she tied herself in knots to avoid trying to sound offensive about gays and lesbians while still being pretty offensive was interesting. You know, I don't if people choose to make a choice that isn't my choice but is a choice that makes them have a choice that's for them. Oh, and they can't get married because they would need to make a different choice for that but there's nothing wrong with it...

That creepy wink wiped every other thought out of my head. Biden's sober-sided repost when she played the mom card at the end was very authentic and moving; though I also think he was waiting for her to walk right into that one.

"Nuclear weaponry, of course, would be the 'be all end all' of just too many people and too many parts of our planet"
Really? That is the best sentence she could construct about a nuclear weapon getting into the hands of Iran? Really? I think W could be that - and that's saying something.

I am in dangerous territory here. But, what the heck! Obama is a great orator (did I spell that right?). Does that make him a great leader? Are the two synonomous? According to most people, yes. I wonder if Hitler was a great orator? I agree that the next president of the USA should be able to speak clearly and well, but just because someone IS a great orator does not mean that they are a good person with no character flaws. Seems to me just a lot of people don't like Palin because of what she believes in. Then it becomes easy to make stabs at her on every level.

I have to agree with cowgirl, "Past is prologue" was a memorable quote.
