Quotable Carrie
"Mommy, be quiet. Baba, be quiet. You're not the talker. I'M the TALKER." --Carrie, age 3 I guess she has taken the "use your words" advice to heart and converted this feeling into pronouncements such as this.

Question of the Day: Family Blogs and Privacy Issues
Pearl will turn 5 next month and will start kindergarten in the fall. I'm starting to wonder about the possible impact that this blog, a public record, could have on her life (and eventually, Carrie's) as she and her friends...

My favorite thing about these photos is the girls' red toenails! :-)

And the necklaces, too? They're really venturing forth!

I'm a toenail girl -- they are almost always painted -- so I guess that's why I noticed them and didn't even think twice about the necklaces! Tres chic! ;-)

They really are getting big. From a distance, it is easy to fix the children in place until the next set of pictures appears, and the changes are really obvious! With my own children, the changes are usually so gradual that it's only around birthdays or other big events when growth/change is really noticed. Or, in the case of the younger one (who is still growing) on those days that he wakes up half an inch taller and with a changed face.
I can't tell you how much I really enjoy these pics -- especially the necklaces and toenails. Did the girls make the pendants?

They have necklaces that they made themselves but these are ones that they
received as party favors, I think. They have lip gloss inside, a source of
endless intrigue!

Red toenails and lip gloss filled necklaces… my partner’s worse nightmare!
Next thing you know they’ll demand a Disney Princess themed bedroom. Awww I’m so jealous!
