As you may recall, Carrie's blankie is falling to pieces and then some! And it seems to be the only one of its kind on planet earth. I have worked on the remnants with my oh-so-limited skills a time or two or more. This past week Marcia found a real seamstress/grandma (although not our grandma) who did a wonderful job solving our problem--for now at least. And Carrie is now up to FOUR blankies. Just like Owen in the Kevin Henkes story, she is totally pleased!
Great pictures of the kiddos. And good idea with the blanket.

This is exactly what my Mum did when my MawMaw(blanket) fell to bits.
Genius!

Beautiful! I know a little girl who loves the small, satin edged blankets! I sent her a few to have as a back up (she was down to one) and now she has to carry around all FOUR of them at once! Girls and their blankies!! (Mine went to college with me!)

We noted early on that Harper loved her fleece sleep sacs. And since she is colder-natured, we encouraged her to love on, stroke on, sleep with fleece. AND IT TOTALLY WORKED because we can just use old fleece pullovers or second-hand sleep sacs to make more. She currently has 6 of them. Downside is she likes to sleep with at least 4.

oh, and we're super lucky in that Mateo's "lovie" is a plain 'ol cloth diaper! SWEET!

I think you twin parent are infinitely smarter than the rest of us! My
brother made sure his kids "fell" for blankies which he bought by the
dozen at Walmart! Since Pearl never "attached" to an object (I joke
that Marcia is Pearl's blankie) we weren't paying attention when
Carrie became enamored of this obscure one-of-a-kind rag!
