Have I mentioned that Carrie is infatuated with
horses lately? Her favorite request--and she wakes me up saying this in the middle of the night--is: "Baba, let's talk about horses!"
If you have a favorite horse book that you would recommend, please let us know!
I was a horse-crazy girl. When I was a few years older than Pearl I read loads of Marguerite Henry books. Misty of Chincoteague is a classic; great one to start with.

Okay, your girls could come to our house and be totally at home in our toy room. We have that same horse! (Actually, we have 4, yes four! (thanks MIL - said dripping with sarcasm) of them.) And we have dinos for Pearl.
We have so many horse books, it's hard to pick a favorite. That "Gallop!" (Rufus Butler Sedar ???) book is pretty cool. But of course, there's only one page of a running horse. It is the reason, however, that we bought the book. LOL!

My Pony Jack at Riding Lessons by Cari Meister
There are a few DK Reader books about horses. They have real pictures, a cute story and a glossary to help kids learn equestrian terms. My girls love the whole series, but Ponies and Horses and Lets Go Riding and their favorites.
